KSHSRC functions from its office in Magadi Road. It works closely with NRHM, KHSDRP and other units of Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Mrs Malavaika K Rao:
Currently working as Consultant-Monitoring and Evaluation has a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Mysore. Being a Graduate in Science she has done certificate courses in MIS reports, Scientific Writing, Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) and International Fellowship on Health Technology Assessment by HTIC. She is good at handling large data sets, analysis and interpretation by using various statistical tools. She also worked as HMIS Coordinator in KSHRC.
Before joining KSHSRC, She worked as a statistical officer and handled the job responsibilities of Monitoring and evaluation cell of Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society for more than four and half years, where she played an instrumental role in implementation of Computerized Management Information System(CMIS)/Strategic information Management System(SIMS) software. She also assisted in surveillance and data triangulation and validation activity. She was responding to the information need of NACO.
She has worked as Finance Executive for a reputed Pvt. Firm in Bangalore and computer lab instructor in Manipal Institute of computer science.
In her current assignment, she is involved in various research studies relating to monitoring and evaluation of health programmes of the state. She is also actively involved in Validation and analysis of Health Management Information System (HMIS) data.
Dr Mamata Patil:
Consultant – Health Human Resource Development
Currently working as Consultant Health Human Resource Development. She has a Master degree in Public health (MPH) from KLE University Belgaum, Karnataka. Being a MBBS graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) Belgaum, she has experience of working as medical officer in primary health centre and community health centre for 8 years.
Before joining KSHSRC, has worked as research associate in the field of qualitative research in Institute of Public Health Bengaluru. She has presented several scientific papers in state and national level conferences.
Presently at KSHSRC she is involved in various research studies related to human resource for health and in providing technical assistance.
Dr Ganesha H:
Currently working as Consultant-Public Health Planning has a Master degree in Public Health from National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai, affiliated to Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute for Medical sciences, Trivandrum (Institute of National Importance).
Being a Graduate in MBBS from Mysore Medical College, has 14 years of experience of serving in Karnataka Health Department as Medical Officer, Taluk Health officer and District Programme Officer.
Before joining to Post graduation as In-service candidate, worked as District AIDS Prevention & Control Officer to Bangalore Rural district for Control of HIV/AIDS under NACO. He has conducted cross sectional study on Utilization & Functionality of ASHAs in Koppal district in 2011-12. He has aadditional qualification of Diploma in Hospital management
Presently he is engaged in public health planning activities in KSHSRC. He has involved in National Urban Health Mission and District Health Action Plan preparation assignment under KSHSRC.
Mr Sreenivasa D
Currently working as HMIS coordinator as a Master degree in computer applications from IGNOU. He is good at handling large data sets, analysis and interpretation by using various statistical tools SPSS and MS Office software packages.
Before joining KSHSRC, He worked as a M&E officer and PPTCT M&E Officer, and handled the job responsibilities of Monitoring and evaluation cell of Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society for more than four years, where he played an instrumental role in implementation of Computerized Management Information System (CMIS)/Strategic information Management System (SIMS) software. He also assisted in surveillance and data triangulation and validation activity.
He has worked as M&E officer in Sujala watershed development project which was the World Bank assisted project under Government of Karnataka.
In his current assignment, he is involved in Validation and analysis of Health Management Information System (HMIS) data. He is involved in identifying and addressing the data quality (completeness, accuracy, timeliness of reports) issues in HMIS of the State.
Associated with Karnataka State Health System Resource Centre for the past one year as Consultant for Health Economics and Financing. She is Ph.D. in Public Economics/Health Economics from the Madras School of Economics (University of Madras).
The research focus of her doctoral thesis had been on the analysis of the expenditure needs and spending efficiency of the health expenditures of 17 major States.
She graduated in Economics from Pondicherry University with a specialization in Development Economics. She has considerable amounts of experience in fields of research and analysis having worked in many projects while at IIT-Madras, PROOF (Janaagraha), Bangalore and at Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. Her research interests include areas related to health economics, rural development, social issues and similar developmental themes.
She has carried out few interesting research studies at KSHSRC relating to expenditure patterns and financing mechanisms of the State. She is also involved in the processes of budget preparations under NHM of the State.
Mrs Rashmi Gopal:
She has done Master’s in Business Administration from Bangalore University. In her current assignment, she is involved in collecting, developing, managing and analyzing data on various aspects of the state health system to support the activities of SHSRC and department of Health & Family Welfare. Responsible for building and operating information repository of the State health system.
Has a prior experience of 4.5 years, Previously Worked for Northern Trust a custodian bank, as a Senior Financial analyst for Global Accounting Team.
Dr Swapnil S Nimkar:
Currently working as Consultant-Public health planning in KSHSRC, Bangalore. He worked as Research Assistant in Indian Institute of Public Health (PHFI), Hyderabad where he was involved in extensive research work entitled ‘Emerging epidemic of diabetic retinopathy and retinopathy of prematurity in India: Situational analysis and evaluation of existing Programmes for screening and treatment of diabetic retinopathy’ collaborated with AIIMS, Delhi and LSHTM, London.
He completed his Masters of Public Health, Manipal University and obtained certificate of Foundations in Global Health, Maastricht University.
Dr. Santosh Kanchyani:
Currently working as Consultant – Quality Assurance is associated with Karnataka State Health System Resource Centre from February 2014. He has done Master’s in Hospital Administration from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. Before joining KSHSRC, he has worked as an Assistant Administrator in BGS Global Hospital, Ramanagara. Presently he is involved in Quality Assessment of low performing PHCs in Karnataka.
Presently working as Data analysis coordinator at KSHSRC, is a graduate and has good knowledge of quantitative techniques, experience in creating maps and graphs using GIS software and related equipment, Operating & maintaining GIS hardware as well as video camera, Computer hardware networking and HMIS Data Analysis. Has a prior Experience of 8 years in various divisions of Government Health Department.
Mr Naveen Babu
He is working as PA to Executive Director at KSHSRC. Responsible of daily functioning of office, organizing meetings, managing documents and files. Has a prior experience of 10years as Technical person in health department.
Stenographer prepare transcript or printed copies of what they have recorded. Has a prior experience of 7 years as a data entry operator in health department.
Rajaiah and Padma are working as group D at KSHSRC, Responsible in general cleanliness & upkeep of the office and other non clerical work in the office. Srinivas is presently working as a Driver at KSHSRC. Madesh is working as a security guard at KSHSRC
